The Lloyd George 1909 survey
This long-running project aims to transcribe and analyse for Bristol and Gloucestershire the survey of land values carried out as a result of the ‘People’s Budget’ of 1909. It provides a highly detailed property-by-property picture of the county and city before WW1, and is a wonderful resource for local and family historians alike.
The Society is ensuring that the database of Gloucestershire properties, their occupiers and owners that resulting from the project is available online and kept maintained. Data for Bristol is gradually being added to the site.
