Gloucester pottery fabric type series
For almost 150 years, BGAS members have been closely involved with the archaeology of Gloucester. We’re very happy to provide this link to the Gloucester pottery fabric type series. It includes samples of pottery and tile fabrics dating to the Roman, medieval and post-medieval periods from Gloucester and the surrounding districts. It was created in the 1970s by the Gloucester Archaeology Unit, and has formed the foundation of most work on archaeological ceramics in the area since then.
