Work at Dulverton House in Gloucester has been nominated for a prestigious national award in the Current Archaeology ‘Best Rescue Archaeology Project’ category. The winning nomination will be decided by an online public vote. The project was under taken by ‘Urban Archaeology’, a Stroud based team, and resulted from refurbishment work undertaken to create a new Sixth Form centre for The King’s School. Many layers of the site’s history were revealed during the dismantling of internal walls and the digging trenches for new services and floors.
